Director of Community Engagement

Christina Delgado is an artist, educator, and community organizer who has committed herself to culture work in Baltimore City for almost 20 years. She is the founder of Tola’s Room, a home museum and culture space located in NE Baltimore, serving as the only Puerto Rican cultural hub in Baltimore. She is currently on the Maryland State Arts Council Artist-in-Resident Roster and also sits on various city and art related advisory groups, committees, and boards.

Lending Program Manager: GBA is launching a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI)! This new initiative aims to build wealth and drive economic revitalization in distressed Baltimore-area neighborhoods by providing innovative financial products and support to underserved businesses, organizations, and residents. The Lending Program Manager underwrites and efficiently processes microloans and small business loan requests from a wide range of businesses from startups to established businesses preparing for expansion; works closely with borrowers to meet loan and portfolio management metrics, and lending department objectives related to impact and portfolio quality. They will also work with GBA staff and partners to build a lending pipeline.

Director of Capital Programs: The Director of Capital Programs will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating GBA’s portfolio of capital projects and programs to support commercial revitalization, affordable housing development, increased access to public parks and green spaces, environmental justice, and public safety. This work includes managing a variety of existing grant programs, such as the Baybrook Retail Improvement Grant and the Home Buyers Assistance program. In addition, the Director will supervise the Capital Projects Manager, who will manage the day-to-day of specific capital projects. The Director will also supervise the Small Business Program Manager and provide guidance and support in efforts to cultivate a Main Street/Merchants Association, develop a Baybrook marketing campaign, and create programming and events along the retail corridors.The Director will also provide technical assistance to Baybrook residents, neighborhood groups, and community associations as they identify and execute community-driven improvement projects to revitalize their communities.
